Abstract
Using yaks and muskoxen as examples, Berger
discussed the importance of a deeper knowledge of the
biology, behaviour, and physiology of cold-adapted species
to a better understanding of the interplay between weather-related variation and its consequent effects on individuals,
and ultimately, on populations.
