Abstract
Preliminary Results of Archaeological Research in the Banyang Mbo Sanctuary (South-West Cameroon). SouthWestern has not previously been explored from an archaeological standpoint. This paper presents preliminary results of a prospection and test excavation campaign undertaken in April 1998. A total of nineteen archaeological sites were discovered. Radiocarbon datings and detailed study of archaeological material were made on nine sites. The datings obtained range from the IXth to XVIIIth century AD, belonging to the Late Iron Age period. © 2000 Éditions scientifiques et médicales Elsevier SAS. Tous droits réservés.
