Abstract
A rapid reconnaissance mission was carried out by the Rangeland Team in 2008 in two areas of Bamyan Province (Ajar Valley and Band-e-Amir), both of special concern when it comes to rangeland useage and corresponding effects on the local biodiversity. Data on environmental conditions were gathered, along with a number of photographs to demonstrate the Team's concerns regarding overall health of the rangelands. This report lays out their findings and focuses on the management implications of their work.
