Abstract
We provided comments to the Yukon Water Board on the issue of placer mining in wetlands. Specifically, we recommend that mining only occurs once effective measures are in place to protect and reclaim wetlands, including mechanisms for funding, policies for wetland reclamation, and the identification and protection of high value lands.
