Abstract
The authors examined the combined and interacting effects of climate and land use stressors on the health of boreal stream communities. Overall community richness and productivity were not negatively impacted by land use changes. In contrast, sensitive species, including highly valued salmonids, declined
in regions experiencing increased land use and warming. These results provide insight into complex climate and land use interactions occurring across a broad landscape, and highlight the potential for increased
species declines when faced with both future warming and land use changes.
