Abstract
The authors examined the impacts of climate and land use on wetland habitat and the associated aquatic macroinvertebrates and birds. Their results indicate that climate patterns and climate change has just as much influence on biodiversity as land use change, with a stronger overall impact on birds. They also demonstrate that warmer, wetter conditions associated with climate change may be beneficial to some bird groups, including aerial insectivores.
