Abstract
In June, 2016 the Government of Canada announced the launch of a comprehensive review of federal environmental assessment processes associated with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012 (CEAA 2012) and appointed an expert panel to lead this review. Following the release of the expert panel report in April, 2016 (http://eareview-examenee.ca/) , the Government of Canada invited comments from Canadians on the panel’s report. WCS Canada’s submission expressed support for the Panel’s vision for new environmental assessment.
