Abstract
Scientific discussion of endangered species legislation has predominantly focused on the United States and the U.S. Endangered Species Act. However, an understanding of international policy issues related to endangered species protection has the potential to stimulate conservation discussion and facilitate coordination between countries. This set of papers presents brief overviews of the current status of endangered species legislation in Australia, Canada, and the European Union, three regions that reflect a range of laws and stages of development.
