Abstract
Distribution of the sperm whale based on logbook records dating from 1761 to 1920. Chart A – April to September, inclusive.
Each colored platting represents the position of a whale-ship on a day when one or more whales were taken. Each month’s whaling is colored distinctively. Positions on Charts A and B represent a total catch of 36,908 sperm whales.
