Abstract
A study and discussion of the ecological impact zone around exurban homes in the Adirondack Park, NY. Comparisons are drawn from a similar study performed in the North American West, in an entirely different habitat. Avian communities were altered up to 200 m from exurban homes in the Adirondack Park, and these results have the ability to inform ecologically sensitive subdivision designs.
