Abstract
This article addresses a criticism that was made by Brown and Laband in their article “Species imperilment and spatial patterns of development in the United States” in which they concluded that spatial distribution of human activity is not related to species imperilment in the United States. The authors responded with a critique of the methodology used by Brown and Laband’s to reach their conclusion.
